From early in the 1800’s cowboys rode the western range. On the cattle drive, every long, hard day in the saddle was followed by an evening meal, tall tales and music around the chuckwagon. Originated on a working cattle ranch, the Bar J Chuckwagon takes you back to the spirit of the old west with a relaxing atmosphere, rib stickin’ meal and authentic cowboy entertainment. The Bar J Wranglers will entertain the entire family as they take you down memory trail with songs, stories, comedy, yodeling, fiddling and more! Experience an evening you'll never forget at the Bar J Chuckwagon.
With a seating capacity of over 650 people, it may surprise many to know that we serve all our guests in less than 25 minutes. We can easily handle tour groups or convention parties with true western hospitality.
The gates open at 5:30pm and the dinner bell rings promptly at 7:00pm. For the best seats come early. Visit our western village where gift shops await, take a train ride through scenic attractions, sample Dutch oven biscuits, enjoy refreshments from our Waterin' Hole, and chat with the Wranglers!
Bar J Chuckwagon Retirement Auction
After 44 years of food, fun, laughter and singing, the Bar J Chuckwagon will be closing our gates to the public. It’s been an honor and a privilege to have been a part of your families’ summer vacations these many years, and our fervent wish is that we leave behind a faithful legacy of honoring America and her veterans, upholding Biblical values, and keeping the spirit of the West alive with our music. Along with the Bar J property being sold, we find ourselves in the possession of 44 years’ worth of boots, benches, antiques, signs, equipment, etc., that are looking for a new home. We have set up the Bar J Chuckwagon Retirement Auction online where you can bid on these authentic Bar J souvenirs now through September 18, 2021.
